My Take
So far, I am really liking the interactive aspects of the platform. I like the fact that my students can create their own stories within the class, and that they can be viewed by their classmates. I really like the easy way to poll my students and ask them to pause and assess their learning throughout the lesson. I have not figured out how best to use the "quiz" features, since I cannot see the responses. Instead, I am simply using that feature to ask students to check their own understanding. I follow them up with a reflection video at the end of a module so that students record their thoughts on their own learning experiences for the week.
How I Use It
I have just begun to use Sutori in my online college courses. I teacher future teachers, and I have been seeking ways to enhance collaboration and involvement among my students who rarely meet face-to-face. I am finding that it is an invaluable tool in teaching highly technical or abstract concepts. For example, my students have traditionally struggled with identifying Bloom's taxonomy levels or Webb's DOK levels. I was able to use Sutori to guide them through each and to help them identify best practice examples for each.
