My Take
This is so helpful to give students as an independent rotation (although they always find their way to one another to battle) and they also use it in free time. Many rainy day indoor recess times are spent on Prodigy by choice and I’m not mad about it!
How I Use It
We’ve used Prodigy in my classroom for years and it gets more and more user friendly each year. My students are so motivated by the classroom challenges and love to get their certificates for being on the leaderboard! Prodigy aligns to our curriculum and reinforces skills I teach and it’s great!

8 years and counting...
Overall, this is a wonderful supplement to teaching math curriculum in class. I miss the assessment component that used to be available. However, I do appreciate that the assignments are aligned to state standards and let me know how long, on average, a student will take to complete the assignment.

Prodigy makes learning math fun and interesting
The game allows students to create a character and complete different quests, as well as customize their character. They are also allowed to battle other students, with them winning by getting more questions right than their opponent. It is a captivating way to learn and review their math skills.

I love to use this program in my classroom to help my students with their math skills!
I really enjoy it and my students have always asked to use it. I find it fairly easy to use and create assignments for my students. The reports are nice to see where I can give extra supports. I wish it had a specific math facts review aspect. You can assign the standard that is fact fluency, but it would be nice to have something just built in.
