Not very helpful, for middle school, and often is too deep, or too shallow in the material.
Often doesn't relate to math problems, and either gets too complex, or too shallow in the material. Sometimes it doesn't fully explain what to do and gives complex words that most kids this age wouldn't know like,"gross income".

Absolutely Terrible...
This system is pretty bad. It’s full of glitches that make it hard to use. For example, if you stop for just a few minutes, it logs you out, which gets really annoying. The buttons often don’t work right, and sometimes it won’t even let you type in answers. These problems make it frustrating and unreliable.
On top of that, I’ve come across questions that were just wrong. It’s hard to say anything good about this program because, instead of helping, it feels like it gets in the way. With mistakes like these, it’s more confusing than useful.
Overall, this app isn’t something I’d recommend for teaching, especially for kids. It’s frustrating and not very reliable, so it can make learning harder instead of easier. It teaches kids a horrible and ineffective way to learn. I’d suggest finding something else that actually helps people learn the right way.

Terrible Resource
This is by far one of the worst learning programs for students that I have ever seen. Before even getting into the content, this program is rough, and seemingly unfinished. It is rough, janky around the edges, full of bugs, small and frustrating things such as not allowing to scroll, jerking back and forth and moving text boxes seemingly on their own, and not allowing you to type in them until to the right of the screen. As far as the actual program goes, the content is highly selective and does not allow for a variety of answers, and getting one problem or answer in a multi-step problem wrong due to a faulty keyboard or misclick can cost excruciatingly long periods of time. It is way too selective, and sometimes differs from content taught in class, meaning that students have to learn Mathia's version of the content. This is by far a terrible program, please get students to use something else.

this program forces students to repeat redundant tasks in order to complete a small part of the program
I do not like the teaching back end and how i have little control over the module. (not being able to let students skip some parts and advance up with the rest of class putting them behind and not allowing them to catch up.)

Not helpful for students
I have used this program when teaching kids. The kids didn't understand it, not because they didn't understand the math but because the program was not clear and even had some stuff wrong. An example of this is their (x,y) charts in "Partitioning Segments Proportionality" The negative numbers were on the wrong side and sometimes the charts were upside down.

Mathia may not be good for teaching
Mathia may not be an ideal tool for students to learn mathematics efficiently. Its tendency to be repetitive can lead students to rush through the material without retaining the knowledge being presented. The app's format can become frustrating for students when they are required to fill in circles, as even a small error may require them to start over from the beginning. This can have a negative impact on students' learning experiences and discourage them from engaging with the material. The repetitive nature of the app also teaches students to prioritize speed over comprehension, leading to a work-driven mentality rather than a genuine desire to learn. This can be detrimental to students' long-term success and overall enjoyment of the subject. Moreover, the added pressure to complete work accurately and quickly may contribute to increased stress levels, depression, and disrupted sleep patterns in students. Therefore, Mathia may not be suitable for use in a classroom or teaching environment, as it can hinder students' learning and have negative effects on their well-being. It's important for educators to consider these concerns when evaluating educational technology and to ensure that students are provided with effective, engaging, and inclusive tools for learning.

Review Carnegie Geometry
The curriculum itself is not necessarily bad, but it is not a good curriculum to use when you teach each course in a semester. There is not near enough practice for mastery. The Mathia does have great teaching aides, but as we all know, if you do not physically use a paper and pencil, most students do not retain the content.
My final and biggest issue is the number of mistakes I have found in the student Geometry edition. Almost every lesson has glaring issues. The mistakes may be small, but they can cause huge issues in understanding if a student was not present during class for the corrections that I give them. I had several students incorrectly learn the distance formula because they were not present in class and the example did not substitute the (x,y) values correctly into the distance formula. I expect a professional publishing company to proofread their books before they publish. I don't have the time, nor am I paid, to do their editing for them.

Hard to read and follow the terminology/jargon
My son is dyslexic and math is his best subject. Not with MATHIA! It is very wordy and verbose, and tends to emphasize rather non-useful wordy jargon. I would say it is very discouraging for him to make a mistake and feel like he has to keep repeating over and over again. I have been helping him - the math is easy - MATHIA is NOT. As with all bad user interface designs, it is making the students learn a computer interface, rather than learn the subject. I would not recommend.
