How is anyone not using this in someway in their classroom?
Community Review for YouTube
My Take
Youtube has come a long way! Schools that do not allow the use of Youtube on their networks are definitely limiting their student learning and the opportunities for students to get a better understanding of any topic!
Their are so many options for students to learn about a topic no matter their native tongue. With working at an International School the understanding can often be lost on a student that is ESL and with the ability to give students a video at a variety of learning levels allows those students to achieve and understand to their full capability.
How I Use It
I use Youtube with nearly every class, nearly every period! Though the video may not be shown within the classroom I try to allow my students to have a topic not only explained through me as the teacher but through a variety of other visual ways. This means that if the student needs a better understanding they are given the chance to access the video links I have provided to allow them to revisit the topic whether I am available to help them or not.
Now with saying that because so much is loaded up to youtube it is always wise to review and find the best variety of videos to provide to the students.
