My Take

When it comes to Wizer.Me, I really like the variety of question types, the automatic grading, and the immediate feedback. One way I think Wizer.Me could better serve students is if it had a function that allowed students to collaborate on an assignment. I think that would open up even more possibilities for using Wizer.Me in my classroom. Additionally, the reports section for student answers is not as user-friendly as it could be. When I try to look at student answers, it often appears that the formatting is off and I can only see a tiny piece of the assignment at a time, which makes it a little more challenging to look at an individual student's work. I do really like that the reports show me how much time a student spent on an assignment as that can often provide a lot of insight if a student doesn't do very well.

How I Use It

I predominantly use Wizer.Me for grammar practice for students although I can see myself using it for other activities as well. Rather than giving students worksheets to complete over nouns or verbs, I will create an assignment on Wizer.Me and have my students complete their practice online. I particularly like the variety of question types I can create using Wizer.Me. I can create one assignment with multiple choice questions, sorting sections, fill in the blank sections, drawing sections, matching sections and more. It is very versatile and provides more flexibility than other online tools.

I have also used Wizer.Me for online quizzes. Wizer.Me will automatically grade many of the question types and gives teachers the option to provide students with immediate feedback on their work. I find both of these tools very handy.
