My Take

I think Thrively is a great teaching tool. Not only is it a great teaching tool but the students loved using it.
It gave students the autonomy they crave to explore their passions. Ideally, in the future I would love to use this as part of a unit where students pursue their passion, such as the Genius Hour Project by Angela Maiers

How I Use It

I used Thrively at the start of the year with my students. It provided me with a great way to learn about their interests and passions. I was able to learn about each student individually as well as get a whole class picture. It provided me with great insight as to projects my students wanted to pursue throughout the year. For example, as a class music was a major area of interest, so I added a music unit in which they loved.
I loved that depending on the topic students could further learn about their passion on their own. Some topics required parents or students to sign up for courses or classes in their neighborhood.
