Community Review for Starfall ABCs

My Take
I do not encourage of the Starfall app because of the cost and limit of material. The site is offered online free and has many more resources available. I absolutely love the site that is offered online.
How I Use It
Starfall was used as a whole group daily and independent practice in our classroom on a daily basis. We used the app and computer site to practice vowel and consonant sounds. It assisted the students by the use of repetitive songs and visual cues. Many students would refer back to the songs or catch phrases in order to remember certain sounds during reading material. They would frequently request to work on the site during after-school and inside recess time.

Really nice!!!
Starfall ABCs is a nice way to get children to learn the alphabet. The site uses sound effects to help students understand the pronunciation of each letter and what words start with that letter.

Cute app for younger kids
I thought this app was useful and preschoolers could learn letters using this app. I liked how the app showed visuals for each letter and presented the sound as well. The repetitiveness of it would work for preschoolers but I think would not be engaging for any age group over that. I do think it would help younger kids learn the letters and sounds the letters make especially in a post pandemic world where some parents still choose to keep their children out of preschools.
