My Take

As a teacher you do not always have time to de-escalate every issue, so technology has been a great asset in our classroom to sort of help micro-manage some on going issues in our classroom. I like how there is a timer for what is going on because the students do not have a lot of time recognition, so having that visual is a great asset to the app as well.

This has made my teaching better because the student just looks at the app and reaches for help and we have taught him how to do so, so our teaching is not interrupted as much as it used to be.

How I Use It

I teach in the Social/Emotional classroom at my school and the students have severe needs when it comes to coping. The one student I use it for gets fixated on certain ideas and wants to argue back and it has worked where he can look to the app, so it calms him down and the conflict/argument does not escalate anymore.
