My Take
As a teaching tool, it is so versatile, easy to navigate and yet with permanence as portfolio. It can be used in class face-to-face, but also online.
How I Use It
Seesaw continues to be an amazing tool for not only students and teachers, but families and schools at large. I use it primarily as digital portfolio, staying faithful to its original use, but it has such an amazing number of new features added that are particularly useful in early literacy.
I record students through different phases of writing as they take their piece through the writing process. This is an effective way to help students be immersed in it. Moreover, Seesaw allows to keep the pictures of their written pieces over time, which is a powerful way for students to see their progress with their own eyes.
