My Take

I absolutely love Reading Eggs. It is great for students 3 years old to 13 years old. It was easy to use as part of my centers, but other students would ask to be able to go on in their free time! That is how I know they really enjoyed it! Some even wanted to stay in during recess to access it! Therefore, I started to also use it as their incentive in the classroom.

How I Use It

My students would use this as apart of our reading centers. Students would log into their reading account on a rotational basis since I had 5 computers in my classroom. Students were expected to spend about 20 minutes engaged in the program. Students loved receiving golden eggs as their incentive. In the "Library" students were able to choose the genre of book they wanted to read from. This was great because it gave each of the students freedom and choice in what THEY wanted to read.
