My Take
My opinion is that it is a helpful teaching tool. I like the educational videos. I could seek direct correlation to my science and social studies standards and use it as a resource for thematic units. I really think the shows offer great lessons; whether it's informational facts about animals, etc. or lessons between characters and problem-solving strategies.
How I Use It
I use this product to find educational videos or activities to engage the students. We also sometimes watch the educational shows during our "down time" i.e. during snack or during dismissal (students waiting for their bus to be called). The kids enjoy the videos and shows and it helps to keep them calm and quiet during a time that is unstructured, when they can typically begin acting silly or loud.
I would like to use more of the follow-up activities to reinforce the learning from the videos and shows.
