My Take
In the menu there is a "for teachers" section, but the resources are a little limited. There are 10 discussion questions you could ask with the story, and a couple could be used for a longer written response. I do wish it came with a more differentiated resource that I could use, but I may just make one myself.
Overall, though, it seems like a good resource. The audio narration means that struggling readers can still engage and learn, and it gives students a chance to be in the real-world position of a soldier.
How I Use It
Students were able to log in with a variety of devices (both android and apple phones, plus chromebooks), which is always a win. Most kids were pretty engaged in either listening to the narration or reading, depending on preference. The story puts them in the position of a soldier making choices. At the start of the game, it asks for their name and a friend's name so it can use those actual names in the storyline. Overall, it seemed like the kids got a lot out of it and was a productive use of class time!
