My Take
I think Nearpod is a MUST USE in the classroom. It's engaging, and has formative assessments that can be added. The kids love it. I love how "user friendly" the website is. It's easy to navigate to where I need to go, and I don't have to go hunting for things on the website. For a teacher who doesn't have a lot of time, Nearpod is a lifesaver!
How I Use It
I can't say enough good things about Nearpod. It is definitely one of the best free resources for teachers on the internet. I would "clip" things from our math and reading lessons, and add them to a powerpoint. Next, I would upload the powerpoint to Nearpod, add some activities (draw vocabulary words, quizzes for formative assessment, etc.). Last but now least, I would publish what I had created, and the students would join. Easy to set up and I DON'T have to create student accounts.
