My Take
Magic school helps to focus your thinking with AI. When using more open platforms I find myself stuck trying to figure out how to phrase the prompt to best represent my needs. Because Magic School already has several forms within the program, I can use them to channel my thinking and create better materials.
How I Use It
I use Magic school to level assignments for kids of different reading levels.
I use it to create the base of academic texts (I do check and change, but it gives a great base)
I use it to translate for my English Language learners to ensure they have equitable access to the materials.
I use it to create quick diagnostics and exit tickets to see where my students are.

However, the initial learning curve for setting up the AI tasks can be steep for some educators. Additionally, more resources on how to utilize its full potential would be helpful. Despite these minor drawbacks, it’s a valuable tool for promoting student engagement and fostering individualized learning.
