Great tool for visual subjects!
Community Review for LessonUp
My Take
I have tried almost every program out there (NearPod, PearDeck, Google Slides), but this is by far the best. It is easy to use, navigate through, create lessons, and keep organized. Additionally, many of my students have said that they prefer this program over the others that I have used. The interactive components of LessonUp promoted higher-level thinking, equal access to content, and the ability for students to show what they know in multiple ways. I highly recommend LessonUp, especially if you teach a visual subject!
How I Use It
I teach American Sign Language which is a visual language. LessonUp allows me to create content that is both visually friendly and ASL friendly. Students are able to follow along during the lesson on their own devices and participate in engaging activities (matching, open-ended questions, quizzes) that promote engagement and understanding. The poll, quiz, and open-ended question features allow me to assess as I go. At the end of class, I am able to go back and look at the lesson's report to track understanding and engagement.
