My take on i-Ready.

My Take
Some may think that i-Ready is good at helping students learn what they need to and believe that teachers can tailor their lessons for students based on their pupils’ diagnostic scores. Still, I want to argue that i-Ready is difficult to use and different from many learning programs that actually help students get the education they need.
How I Use It
it causes students to stress over diagnostics and assigned lessons that they may not complete or may be completed too late. Normally, the diagnostics should take at least a day or two to finish, but frequently students with lower scores normally need two to three days to take it since the diagnostics are so long. The diagnostics make you take questions above your grade level and asks you things you don’t understand. Sometimes, even lessons take too long to complete since they are too hard for the student. It does explain the lesson in the introduction to help you understand it better, but it doesn’t help since it forces you to listen to the questions over and over. Sometimes, fast readers get frustrated because of the red stop-hand on i-Ready reading lessons.
