I really like using Haiku Deck in my classroom. It's interactive, easy to use, fun to use, and allows for creative freedom. It doesn't entirely teach the students how to prepare a presentation, but it does help with showing them how to not over-do the visual presentation. My students and I both really enjoy using it!
How I Use It
Haiku Deck is a great app for small and simple presentations. It is a great way to teach students how to present in a fun way. Students have a tendency to write everything they want to say during their presentation on their PowerPoint slides. Words are limited on Haiku Deck as too many will cover the picture. My students enjoy using the app for their presentations because they can choose pictures from the internet, from the app, or use their own. I monitor their searching to make sure they don't see anything inappropriate.
