My Take
I love this tool as a teacher. It's powerful, and once you get the hang of it, you can use it to make almost anything. Think simplified Photoshop meets interactive tool to easily embed videos, giphs, text, images, audio, etc. I'm hoping they'll make an app soon, but in the meantime students with chromebooks or ipads can use Genially in a web browser.
How I Use It
I use Genially to build entire courses and create smaller assignments as well as for my presentations, inforgraphics and breakouts. I also assign projects to students where they can choose the tools they want to use. After two years with this tool on the list, most students choose Genially!

Great tool, innovative presentation tools and course design elements
Provided that you spend some time in preparing the slides, you can create really immersive and fun learning experiences. Great for edutainment and gamification applications.
