Gemini is a great tool for students and educators alike. In many classrooms, it may be hard for a teacher to dedicate enough time to a student to better their writing skills. Using a tool like Gemini can allow for students to receive critique at their own pace and not have to rely on a teacher for every little question they may have. One thing that lacks with Gemini is the ability to restrict students from using Gemini in a way that can harm their education (cheating/writing text for them).
How I Use It
If I were to use Google Gemini in an educational setting, I would allow students to get critique on their essay whether it be grammatical or textual ideas. When using Gemini, one thing I would have to keep in mind for is the what exactly the students are asking Gemini to do for them. I would require screenshots of questions asked to Gemini to make sure that students don't abuse the resource and cheat.
