My Take
EdHeads focuses more on science processes than on science content. This is great to help students see how science is done. It also helps kids to have simulated career experiences that normally would not be possible.
How I Use It
I use this with my medical career explorations class. Students who are considering surgery love the Virtual Knee Replacement surgery. The visuals are really nice but move a little slowly. I have used the stem cell resources in my regular Biology classes but then we switched to using the simulations on the University of Utah Learn Genetics site that address our student misconceptions more directly.

Students should work individually or in pairs
Students will need to use headphones and teacher on-task monitoring should take place
COPPA compliant but teachers should send home a letter to parents alerting them to the real life photos of real medical procedures.

Engaging real world simulations
I like that it includes real photos they definitely add a level of authenticity to the content. The graphics and scenarios are engaging and interactive. The big downside is the inability to monitor student progress. Overall a great site for the exploration of science professions.
