My Take

Dropbox provides cloud based storage for any type of file. Dropbox is exceptionally helpful when working with QR Codes, Video Files or other content that a teacher wants direct student access to. Dropbox is limited in the storage allowance it provides.

How I Use It

The best use I've found for dropbox is as a resource to link QR Codes. Dropbox provides a unique URL/Link to ANY file that is uploaded to one's Dropbox storage space. This URL can be shared and accessed by others. This ability makes it a TERRIFIC way to capture that URL/Link within a QR code allowing it to be scanned to access the file. One way it is particularly useful is when sharing videos. Many video hosting sites are blocked by district firewalls. If you own the video and are able to upload it to Dropbox, simply provide the URL (or a QR code with the URL embedded) and students can view/access the video through Dropbox without it being blocked.
