My Take

It is extremely interactive and can be made intuitive depending on how familiar you are with the code and how long you're willing to spend on it. Granted, there are plenty of already made resources from other teachers you can borrow from. What doesn't work is group work. It's really difficult to have all your students working on something together. Instead, this is better to have exploration and discovery at the student's own pace.

How I Use It

I make lessons on desmos that my students can follow through with. For example, for a special right triangles lesson, I might have students explore different kinds of triangles and increase the size of the triangle to discover patterns. What's nice about desmos is that it allows you to really incorporate visual learning into the lesson.
