My Take

Great for small group collaboration. At the basic level they can make the dinosaur 'move', 'spin', 'jump', 'grow' etc. At a more advanced level, 'repeat 5' and 'when' commands can be included. A free app, it is a good introduction for Hopscotch by the same developer.

How I Use It

Beginning with free exploration in pairs, students were challenged with moving Daisy across the page using as many different actions as possible. Students who easily accomplished this explored the challenge area whilst those who struggled continued to work on the Dinosaur actions using flash cards etc. Challenge activity - students prepare a program and peers predict what she will do before pressing play.
