My Take

Overall, I like that CK12 has a lot to offer students for independent exploration with questions that encourage deeper thought. I am not thrilled by the navigation and the way their analytics are set up.

How I Use It

I have used CK-12 for one reason: to teach science based on student interest. I am not a science teacher. So, I struggled getting kids interested in the subject based on what I was suppose to teach. When I used CK-12 in conjunction with Newsella and NPR, students were engaged and exploring on their own.

Their layout is kind of clunky and their navigation leaves something to be wanted. Setting up my classes was a little cumbersome too. IT took a minute to figure out where to get the class code and figure out how students input it.
