My Take
My overall opinion is it could be better and offer a wider range of lessons and videos for young children. It is great for STEM Schools and since I am a STEM school, I have found ways to use it. Some of which were not meant for it to be used but the site is versatile and can adjust and change to help the students. That is the main thing I like: The fact that the site is versatile and can change to benefit my students and parents. I like that as a teacher I can create a blog and communicate with other educators. I wish they would incorporate more preschool activities and videos.
How I Use It
I used this in the class to teach or reteach math or science lessons! I enjoy this website because it offers lessons for a variety of math and science areas. It is great for students who are visual learners. I found that my kinetic learners do not like it too much. I am trying to find new and innovative ways to use it to fit these learners but I have not had success yet. I would like to see more options for younger children to interact with the engineering part of the site. It does not have enough videos for me either. However, it is still a great resource for STEM school and schools that are looking for a new way to learn.
