My Take
I really enjoy using this educational site. I mainly use this as a whole group teaching tool, but it can also be used for one-on-one lessons. Students are also able to access the website from home which allows them additional academic practice.
How I Use It
BrainPop is an educational site that I use in my classroom to teach, not only, new concepts and skills , but to help reinforce previously learned material. The site includes a huge variety of lessons and subject matter. BrainPOP's animated characters keep the students actively engaged while teaching valuable lessons.
The site begins with a short animated movie which features Tim and his robot, Moby. After the video students are able to take a quick quiz about the subject matter presented. You may also print out material with includes questions, vocabulary, and other pertinent information.
