Community Review for BrainPOP
My Take
I like this teaching website a lot because in my opinion it summarizes concepts in a simple manner. I tell my students that Brainpop movies makes science much easier to understand and they agree with me because the cartoons use science vocabulary incorporated in everyday conversations.
How I Use It
I use this product mostly when I am trying to introduce lessons that are tough for students to initially understand. Ex. DNA and RNA. Students understand the basic idea that DNA and RNA are chemical molecules found in cells that code for specific traits. Students love watching short movies of Tim and Moby (the main characters in the cartoon) and they enjoy getting introduced to topics in this manner because the cartoon is short and very funny.
