Fantastic EdTech tool to create beautiful digital portfolios for music!
Community Review for Book Creator
My Take
I love Bookcreator and my overall opinion of Bookcreator tool is very high with mainly pros. I like that you can add any content to a book, including text, video , audio, images, stickers not only from inside Bookcreator but also embeds from external apps such as Flip, Adobe Creative Cloud Express, Nearpod and Soundtrap amongst many more. This makes the perfect digital portfolio to look amazing.
One slightly small con is that you can not copy and paste an image from outside Bookcreator straight into a page, it needs to be downloaded into the device and then uploaded to the page which doe not save time. It would also be amazing to have a feature to lock teacher's comments or content to avoid students deleting feedback or important information.
How I Use It
I have been using Bookcreator for around two years now. As a Head of Music my aim is to get students to display their music work, including practical work. It is extremely difficult to create a music book where everything that is relevant to music education is shown and showcased, including performances, compositions and student's reflections. What I really enjoy about Bookcreator is the idea of a truly digital portfolio where everything is in one place and beautifully presented. My students have used it to create their Bronze Arts Award portfolios which leads to a Level 1 qualification in the Arts. This worked extremely well as their portfolios looked incredible and it was extremely easy for the moderators to access. Published libraries look awesome!!
