Get to know your students with a 30 second video

My Take

The students loved using this video creation site. It was really easy to use and creating the videos took only two 42 minute periods. You could always have the students create the project from home, especially if you want them to use videos or pictures that are personal. In my case, my students e-mailed the pictures to him or herself and downloaded them to his/her school account while on a district computer. You could have students create commercials about a topic in your classroom. One thought that I had for a social studies classroom would be to create a 30 second political commercial for one of our founding fathers. Since this type of technology wasn't available 200 years ago it might be fun to think about what type of political ad may have ran during that time period.
