My Take
My overall opinion of the app is wonderful. It requires a lot of thinking however, which might not make it suitable for all students as it doesn’t offer too much help if they get stuck. I would want a “help me” button after ever incorrect answer, or maybe a link to a video to refresh the students memory.
I would also buy the ad free version to avoid any bad ads.
How I Use It
This app inspires students to think critically and collaborate with other to get the correct answer. It requires for students to think out the box which is fantastic. After inputting the correct answer the app breaks down how they got it which is wonderful for visual learners. I also enjoyed the option to practice with specie operations such as only addition and subtraction or only multiplication and division. This app makes for great practice. I would definitely use it in groups after a lesson.
My only con would be the constant ads. I received multiple for gambling that included inappropriate images for young children. This problem could be fixed by purchasing the ad-free version, however if used in a classroom those fees can start to add up.
