ReadTheory rocks!!!
I love ReadTheory because it makes personalized learning so easy! It challenges each student at their level, keeping them motivated and engaged. My favorite way to use it is as a warm-up activity. It’s great to start the day with critical thinking and meaningful reading practice! I also love the level-up points, and how I can easily check if they are understanding the reading so that I can support them more.

Read theory is an amazing resource
This is an amazing tool because it allows all students to go up levels based on their own reading levels. My low-level students are able to make progress based on their reading level motivating them to continue reading. It is a very helpful tool to use as a warmup, a center during small group intervention, or after school intervention especially when you have a wide range of reading levels.

Best Differentiated Learning
My students improved by three grade levels in the first semester with consistent use a few times a week. The reports are probably the stand-out feature. They’re detailed, intuitive, and incredibly useful for both teachers and students. I appreciate how the reports break down strengths and weaknesses by specific standards and skills which helps me target instruction more effectively. I highly recommend this program and thankful I found it!

Inaccurate Lexile and Grade Level
The main advertised feature of this program is for educators to be able to monitor their students grade and lexile levels, which the program does poorly of. Functionality wise, the program works fine. You can buy a premium subscription to make sure students are on level with reading, but if you do not buy the subscription, the program will default the articles to the level it “thinks” the student is on. If you get even one question wrong, it will drop you down a whole grade level. Overall, I do not recommend this as a tool to measure students levels and to give them on level reading exposure.

I have really enjoyed this resource
I have really enjoyed this resource for many years with my students. It helps teach my students how to answer different types of comprehension questions.
This is an amazing reading tool. I like that it shows students where they answered questions incorrectly and how to answer them correctly next time. One thing I would like to change would be for students to be able to pick nonfiction and fiction stories, or for the teacher to pick the type of stories, they can read and answer questions too. I believe giving the teachers a little more control over what their students read can be easier for the teachers to see where their whole class is at with the same reading passages. Overall it’sa great program!

Best Reading Comprehension Practice
The data it provides is next level. You can see student mastery of Curriculum Standards and inform early intervention. It's a no-brainer.

Love it!
I really like the format. Some of our state testing is on the computer and the screen is split; half the story and half the questions. ReadyTheory is set up that way as well and is great practice for our students.

Excellent Program!
This is a great program! I really feel like it helps students with ADHD or who have a negative opinion of reading. They are goals for the week, visual rewards/levels, and it breaks the task of reading into a small chunks done on the computer every day. I have seen results in using this! I like how the progress is tracked and is easy to read. Plus it is free to use! There is a premium option that gives you finer control over what students read, but it is not in any way required.

Read Theory MATTERS!!
Kids are motivated to increase their reading skills and boost their percentages. They often choose readtheory over another online reading program. I challenge the kids to increase the class percentage and have been giving EXTRA CREDIT this week for each quiz passed above 70%. These crucial skills help kids see the need for improvement on their reading assessments. Thank you, Read Theory!!
