User friendly research website with different tools to find information.
I think this is a great way for the students to conduct online research. It is a kid friendly tool and it's easy for the students to use. Students type in the topic they are researching and then they get a number of articles to read about the topic. I also like that there is an option for the article to be read to the student. This allows all students the opportunity to learn the information. If available, they also include images and videos on the topic. The site also differentiates the reading level for the articles. There are three levels, so you can reach all your readers.

A safe classroom research tool
The teachers and students in our district enjoy using this Britannica. I love the different access levels and supports that are included. Serves kids and provides teachers piece of mind as a safe research tool and those can be a challenge to find from time to time. Well worth the money our district spends on this resource.

Research projects, find valuable information! Information given in differentiated reading levels and videos!
I love to use this tool to help students gain knowledge on an unknown topic. It is a safe place for students to search a topic without being given the "kitchen sink" that is Google search. It is easy to navigate. I think the best feature is the "Web's Best Sites" that provides other safe websites with information about the topic. It also provides many resources for teachers such as interactive lessons and multimedia about a given topic. The downfall is that all three levels of information are not always available for your topic. Sometimes you can only access level 3 information or there will be no given information at all on a topic, but it will search similar topics which can be confusing for children.

Awesome research tool!
This is an amped up version of the old encyclopedia. Anything you would look up or research, can be done here. There are two terrific aspects of this site. One - you can change the reading level at any time form primary, intermediate to secondary. Two - there are multiple media types for each subject (most subjects.) You can assign students a topic and they can collect information from an article (which can be voiced), as well as viewing a video and possibly a timeline.
Occasionally, I will run into a topic not covered on the website.
