Quite useful app. The different voices and levels of speed are also a plus. It's easy to upload texts and also post the oral text to your blog, site, pallet, etc.
Very good! Quite useful app for practice, in the classroom, at home or on-the-go. The different voices and levels of speed are also a plus. It's easy to upload texts and also post the oral text to your blog, site, pallet, etc.
Not that good is just the fact that some voices do sound too... mechanical, but I guess this is not that easy to deal it.

Poorly written and buggy product, support is close to non-existent
Quality - this is not the main focus of the developers. Interface looks so old, feels like it was written in 90s. Software constantly crashing, features are overly exaggerated or not working. The full package is also the most expensive among similar offers from other companies. If you would like to get disappointed, frustrated, waste ton of money and time and get nothing out of it; this is the company to go with. Support, for the luck of better word is a joke. It is there just to answer a simple question and to lie and trick you if you want your money back or question non-working feature for which you paid money for. After giving up, I tried TextALoud from NextUp.com. The difference is day and night. No issues what so ever. I had no reason to contact support, but i did it anyways just to see how it works. This company is real and the product is superior comparing to natural reader. I made a mistake and i'm sharing my experiences so others can learn from it. I'm just an unhappy customer of natural readers and not associated nor affiliated with neither of the companies discussed here.

If you buy the "personal version" and you want to install it on your personal computer and your work computer, you should try with another company because they will block your serial number and you'll not be able to use it.
The software work really well. But if you buy the "personal version" and you want to install it on your personal computer and your work computer, you should try with another company because they will block your serial number and you will not be able to use the product you've bought. I formatted my computer and since I can't use the software. I suggest you to use the "free version" unless you want to give away 100$.

Natural Reader is a s l o w start without a user manual
It took me at least 2 years and several family members and a friend to get the PC version working for me. I like it very much. I just don't have the time to figure out how to do it for the internet and I am ashamed to ask my family and friends to help again. They rightly believe this isn't the product for me and I should have known better than to buy it again. I guess so, too late now, no refunds.

Effective software, but its features are built-in on mac now
Simply, the app reads text. It does this well, however, unfortunately Apple now has all of these features built-in including both iPhone and Mac. Even the conversion to audio files is offered built-in on Mac by converting spoken text to iTunes files. I was looking for a better user experience for my students, and I think it does offer that compared to the built-in tools on Mac. The hovering menu offers a reminder to students that they can use this assistive technology. The drag and drop usability and even the start and stop buttons all make it very intuitive and simple to use. The built-in Apple tools are not so simple to use and often require an Internet search to learn how to use and even find them. So, I would recommend this tool if your students will use it often and need something simple to use, however if you're looking for a quick one-time use, then go with the built-in tools.

Easy to use text to speech software
I believe Natural Reader is a great tool for students with text-to-speech needs. Students love the independence it provides that they may not have previously had. It is simple to learn and to use. Some of the voices are a bit difficult to understand depending on the text type you are highlighting, but often, switching voices, or simply slowing down the rate of delivery fixes any of these concerns.
