It is a good supplemental resource for students to use.
It is well organized and requires the students to think critically as well as enhance their reading skills. The program as a whole would serve to help each student improve the second language skills and become more confident communicators.

I liked that they offered several languages. It could help students learn a language from an app(technological device) since they enjoy spending time on their devices already.

Engaging Language Site
As with any online learning program, the course is only successful if the learner is driven and participates to the best of his or her ability. I like the way Mango is organized and it is visually inviting. There is a lot of reading and thinking on the part of the learner, which might not work for some students. Overall though this is a well-organized and pedagogically sound program that would, with time and practice, help students or adults improve their language skills.

Easy to navigate language course emphasizes oral language skills.
If a student just wants to explore there is no need to log in, but to actually use this program to develop language skills it is necessary to log in and create a profile so the user can progress through lessons. Educators in NYC should be aware that this program can be fully accessed with a NYPL library card.
