How can I think critically about sharing personal information online?

Students are constantly asked to share personal information online. But when is it safe to share, 
and when is it risky? In this lesson, students will learn and apply a practical framework for making smart decisions about their personally identifiable information (PII) to help protect their privacy 
and safety online.

  • Apply the Who/Why/What framework to evaluate situations that involve sharing PII
  • Make informed decisions about sharing PII by considering context and potential impacts

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) any information that can be used to identify someone, like full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or even photos
