Meaningful connections are central to kids' well-being and development, and digital spaces offer important opportunities for social growth when navigated thoughtfully. Remind your kid that their words matter even more in DMs and posts. Expressing ourselves clearly helps build understanding and avoid drama. Setting their own personal boundaries, and respecting others', can help them feel safe and comfortable. And when they find their people—whether it's gaming, art, or a love of cats—you can encourage them to find spaces that foster empathy and allow them to be their authentic selves.
