Developing healthy habits for kids goes beyond just brushing your teeth or eating a balanced meal. Being healthy also includes the digital experiences that are so connected to our everyday lives, and it can be hard for adults and kids! Encourage your child to develop an awareness of their mind, body, and environment when using devices. Check in with their feelings by asking: "How do you feel after being online? Tired, happy, grumpy, anxious?" Supportive conversations and role-modeling can help your family take tech breaks, balance device use with offline activities, and reclaim control from addictively designed tech by creating device-free time or spaces.
